I have the weirdest taste in celebrity crushes, but maaaaan Richard Engel talking foreign policy really does it for me.

Q: Should I post to [insanejournal.com profile] treatyoselves to get help deciding what to keep from my Boden order, or just once I decide what part of the haul will be staying with me? Happy news: The size 8 beautiful emerald green boucle skirt was markedly too large! My ass is now a size 6! Victory is mine! Sad news: Boden doesn't have this color in size 6 anymore, so my options are to keep this one and tailor it, get a 6 in boring black or navy to see if it fits, or bid it farewell.

I have a lot of invol feels right now, but whenever I try to put them down on metaphorical internet paper I wind up typing a big paragraph and then going "No, that's not right," and deleting it.

I'm currently wearing 36DD and I suspect I should be a 34 band and a larger cup (the center of my bra doesn't always rest against my chest properly). I have a very short waist and I'm slung way low in the chest department and was even before gravity set in. I have to be careful with empire tops proper because of where the under-bust line falls, which as you say isn't always under the bust, but wrap (really faux wrap) tops serve me well.

This is a top that looks fantastic on me but again, cami/tank required for decency.

Yeah mine are perky enough that I wouldn't need a bra for support unless I planned on jogging, but it would garner a lot of side-eye looks, I imagine. Different tops for different bodies. :D Also, if you're anywhere near a Nordstrom, that's where I go for bra fittings and swear by them and send other people there. They have 'fit bras' that you try on and they adjust to determine your size; so it's not like awkward measuring tape fondling or flashing them the girls. And you can say like, "here's the problem I have now with my current bra," and they'll say "Oh okay!" and bring you back half a dozen options that likely solve the problem.

Oops let me turn back into me before I comment!

My last fitting was at Macy's, but you've just sold me on Nordstrom.

And OMG I can't remember when I didn't last need a bra for daily wear. Generally an underwire bra. The girls weren't that perky when I was in college.

LOL, I didn't always wear a bra when I started college and then by the end I needed to. I was a B at the beginning, when I left I was a D. My freshman 15 was basically split between bosom and thighs.

Actually now that you say that I remember getting a lecture from my mother on a rare occasion when I went out without one (when I was living at home after my dad died) because mine was in the wash. "You're not going out like that, are you?"

I gain the same way but more on my butt.
