  • Dominic Cooper as Theodore Nott
    
    I think Dominic Cooper's sort of a douchebag. However, I used icons of him (mainly from History Boys, but not exclusively) for a Theodore Nott in a Deathly Hallows game, and he was this fantastic blend of snarky cynicism and snooty intellectualism. This makes my character sound like a total asshat - which was probably true - but I thought there were some redeeming qualities, and liked that my icons weren't exclusively angry/snobby. There was a good range, and I was super happy with how he enriched the character, and the character enriched him. Icons are by emptyboxes, downtheriver, and costume_trunk

    I feel like this is my pinnacle of all-time awesome male PBs, and the fact that his character was married to one PBed by Tim Gunn only makes it all the better. But yeah, I always say that I think an actor can wind up bringing a lot of preconceived ideas to a character. It's not always a bad thing though, and I think this is kind of evidence of that? I imagine Oliver with Ricky's insanely quirky, sometimes slightly mean sense of humor. I imagine him with his ridiculous giggle. I imagine him with his fashion sense that is alternately chic and comically bad (tight black tees that give serious emphasis to his less than god-like - albeit wonderful in it's own right - physique). And really, it's a delight to get to use icons of someone who's so often pulling faces and having them seem natural and genuine to what the character is feeling. Julie once said that she felt like she'd 'RP peaked' at Check because of the Gervais/Gunn ship, and really, as far as PBs go, I think I probably have as well. :P Icons are from quibblercons
