I can understand that with Hunger Games characters, since dating is just so far off the radar for many of them.

Would he have gotten a girlfriend if he'd not been reaped? Probably at some point, some ~alternative~ type lady who likes 'em tall and silent. And Hazel has like, meathead lumberjack boyfriend, which Wes most definitely is NOT. XD
