I actually like the show a lot too, which is funny because I was never an American Idol person, singing shows don't do much for me normally. Possibly it's that they don't see them so everyone gets a fair break? But my favorite part about this show this season is in this icon I stole from Julie.

I love how he said he deserves her in tonight's ep. I'm ASSUMING that cat is a girl, because he babytalks it and cuddles it and it's alarmingly fluffy and also is generally a big fan of the ladies. If I'm wrong though, I may like that cat even more.

I haven't watched yet. My mom loves the show too, so I'm not allowed to watch without her. (I also hate A.I., but love the Voice. The dynamic is just so different.)

Hee, I just kind of picture him like, filming his little segments and being like, "you know what, I am badass enough that I should have my cat. Adam Levine won't have a goddamned cat. And look how much this cat loves me. THAT IS HOW AWESOME I AM."

I love the interactions between the judges! How they all compete with each other to get the people to choose them. It's awesome.

I think it's interesting how it varies from last year. I remember Blake choosing solely country, Cee Lo just choosing the really outlandish, Christina pushing her button with glee every single time she heard a lady belt, and Adam being the only one who was particularly discriminating. He hasn't been getting the people he's wanted the most this year, I feel like.

Oh yeah, they've been changing it up this year, though you can see some of them still obvs gravitate towards Blake if they're country, etc. But a lot of people I've been predicting would choose so and so would go to someone else and I was like hmm, that's good!

I wish they wouldn't pit them head to head; it was like, if two great people went against each other, and two mediocre people did, then that was one great and one mediocre person going home instead of the two mediocres.
