I have no voice. :( This may be gross, but, I got seasick on the ferry there - - does anyone know if you can lose your voice from throwing up? Does it cause permanent damage?

BUT, I have had a fun weekend with chthonian who is darling and dear. We had oodles of fun, even when we were just being lazy in our super cute private room at the hostel, watching Parks & Rec and eating food. The weather was windy and rainy and generally ick, so we wound up seeing 50/50 and In Time, trying to stay indoors, etc.

Now I am home, and my mother has somehow fucked up my dad's brand new computer, and she's all "IIIIII don't know what happened!" I wish I could go back to Victoria. >.<

Sidebar, I totally dig the sensation of losing my voice too! It's just so unusual. My housemate had some sort of non-painful laryngitis recently, and after I polled her to make absolutely sure that it hadn't hurt in any way shape or form, that it was just inconvenient, I was like: "I wish I could've had that! It sounds so interesting!"

Haha, that's exactly it. Plus, people actually pay close attention to what you say when you lose your voice. They have no choice. I approve of not having to repeat myself just because some self-involved douche at work wasn't listening the first time.

It's not bad this time around, because it doesn't hurt at all, but I don't think I'd ordinarily agree with you because usually it's accompanied by a heinous sore throat?
