I have a Toshiba Satellite L755 that has the power cord on the side. I couldn't tell you how it goes with the thumb on the mouse track pad though. Just looking at it, the spacing between the keyboard and the track pad might be too wide to do that comfortably. Though that would depend on the size of your hands, I guess.
